Synopsis:
Nerdy girl Autumn Blakewood is the prime example of a goody two-shoes. She
studies every night, is never late for class, and always follows the rules. She
has never felt the need to step out of her comfort zone. That is, until she
meets Hunter.
Hunter Bane is a cocky, confident bad-boy, who's nothing
but trouble. He's a dangerous distraction to everyone around him. Sexy and
strong, Hunter enjoys the swooning effect he has on women. Especially those who
aren't used to attention, like Autumn.
Autumn finds it hard not to give
into Hunter's advances, even though it all seems like a game to him. Trying to
understand him is impossible, because he shrouds himself in mystery.
What she
doesn't know is that Hunter has more baggage than anyone should have to carry.
When she discovers he's in an illegal frat club to save the one person that
matters to him, Autumn realizes this could mean the end of her undeniable
connection to him. Even their lives are at risk.
But it's too late to turn
back now ...

Beautiful love story between a bad boy and a nerdy girl. Autumn Blakewood is a typical nerdy girl who is very self-conscious about herself especially since she was bullied when she was younger. Hunter Blane is a typical bad boy who girls swoon over and is constantly involved in fights. Autumn seems to have a problem trying to fit in and can’t believe when Hunter approaches her and starts talking to her, of all people. Autumn seems to be drawn to Hunter the moment he approaches her and she finds herself with some mixed feelings knowing that she could get herself into a lot of trouble, with Hunter being a bad boy and all. She tries to not focus on Hunter but it becomes pretty hard when he seems to be everywhere she is at. She can’t help that her attraction for Hunter soon captures her heart. Autumn knows that there is something going on with Hunter, she just can’t pin-point what it is. He seems to have secrets and she can see that he’s a damaged soul. She tells herself that he’s worth the trouble in finding out what has him so troubled and she’s willing to listen and be there for him, if he needs her.
Hunter knows he’s damaged and he’s not good for Autumn, yet he feels drawn to her and can’t seem to stay away from her, he does try and push her away every time she wants to come near him, but he knows he can put her life in danger if he does. Autumn doesn’t seem to care if her life is in danger, all she cares about is being with Hunter.
There are some pretty shady stuff going around school and Autumn, along with her friend Evie are determined to find out what is going on. Their good friend from back home also attends the same university, but he just doesn’t seem to be his normal self. The girls are determined to find out what exactly is up with Brody. Autumn finds herself putting her life in danger when she was told to steer clear from Brody, but Autumn is determined to find out what exactly is going on and confronts him. What happens next is pretty shocking to me. You’ll have to read the book in order to find out what happens!!
There are many secrets that unfold and pretty shocking circumstances arise in this book. It will keep you on your toes and biting your nails, trying to figure out what the heck is going on and why!! I found the mystery side of the book very enthralling and I couldn’t seem to put my wonderful kindle down as I was reading this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Loved how the nerdy girl and the bad boy end up falling for each other. I don’t normally read books where there is a nerdy person involved with a hot bad boy. I think it’s cute and different. Her foul mouth really caught me and I would laugh every time something naughty would come out of her mouth. You don’t expect that from a nerdy girl. You get a little bit of everything in this book.
I highly recommend it, there is no cliffhanger, total HEA in this book :0)
I give this 4 stars
